A company faces an administrative fine of up to €7,500 per unit or per tonne of product, a periodic penalty payment of up to €20,000 per day and up to a further €30,000 if it is not entered in ADEME's register or does not display its unique identifier (Article L. 541-9-5 of the Environmental Code). Online marketplaces, which are responsible for the EPR obligations of sellers that are not compliant, may also suspend their listings.
