All FAQ questions

What does a Bilan Carbone® cost in 2026?

For a company with 50 to 500 employees, a full Bilan Carbone® (scopes 1, 2 and 3) costs between €8,000 and €25,000 excl. VAT depending on scope and level of support. Diag Décarbon'Action funds 40% of a €10,000 excl. VAT service for eligible companies with fewer than 500 employees, leaving €6,000 excl. VAT payable by you.

Does BEGES apply to my company?

Mandatory BEGES applies to companies with more than 500 employees in metropolitan France (250 in French overseas regions), local authorities with more than 50,000 inhabitants, the State and public-law legal entities with more than 250 staff. Publication every 4 years (3 for the public sector) on ADEME's platform, fine up to €50,000 (€100,000 for repeat offences).

What is the difference between environmental labelling and the DPP?

Environmental labelling is a consumer-facing score, voluntary for textiles in France since 1 October 2025 and publishable by a third party since 1 October 2026. The digital product passport (DPP) is a European technical data register (composition, repairability, recyclability) accessible by QR code. The two are being deployed in parallel.

What is the carbon footprint of 1,000 ChatGPT or Claude requests?

It depends entirely on the model. For 1,000 conversations of around 400 tokens, our calculator (EcoLogits method, world electricity mix) gives 22 g CO2e with Claude Haiku 4.5, 388 g with Claude Sonnet 4.6, 906 g with Claude Opus 4.8 and 2.6 kg with Gemini 3.1 Pro. The choice of model therefore matters more than the number of requests.
