No. The BEGES requires you to quantify Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, plus Scope 3 for public entities and for companies subject to the CSRD that are not exempt from it, but it prescribes no specific methodology. Bilan Carbone® is the most widely used method (directly compatible with ADEME's publication platform and with the Base Empreinte), but a GHG Protocol deliverable is acceptable. The ADEME format can be produced at the end of the engagement from a GHG Protocol calculation, without fresh data collection.
