ClimaDiag Commune

ClimaDiag Commune (Météo-France)

Free Météo-France service producing a climate summary for each municipality across the 3 TRACC horizons, organised into 5 groups of indicators.

Full definition

ClimaDiag Commune provides a free summary of around ten pages for every French municipality, downloadable as a PDF and customisable before export. Indicators are organised into 5 themes: climate, natural risks, health, agriculture and tourism. Projections follow the 3 horizons of the reference warming pathway, 2030, 2050 and 2100, with specific versions for overseas territories (La Réunion, Mayotte, French Guiana, the French West Indies and New Caledonia), whose warming levels differ from mainland France. It is the least expensive document for starting an exposure assessment, whether for a local authority’s first steering committee or an initial analysis of an industrial site. It does not replace a vulnerability study under a PCAET or a site-specific physical risk analysis under the CSRD, but provides their public evidence base. For further detail, the DRIAS portals provide detailed projections and Géorisques provides regulatory zoning.
