No, they are two legally distinct databases. INIES is the national database of construction products (led by the Alliance HQE-GBC, administered by the CSTB). PEP ecopassport is the sector database for equipment (run by the PEP association, funded by the trade federations Gimélec, Ignes, Uniclima and AFAQ). An exchange agreement links the two: any PEP published in PEP ecopassport is automatically available on the INIES side for RE2020 calculation software, so there is a single entry point for registration.
