Ecobalyse is the free public calculator for the environmental cost of a garment sold in France, under France's textile environmental labelling scheme. It was developed by ADEME and the General Commission for Sustainable Development, is hosted by beta.gouv and is available at ecobalyse.beta.gouv.fr, and its source code is public. The score, expressed in impact points (the lower it is, the better the product), aggregates 16 indicators from the European PEF method, supplemented by 2 French indicators (plastic microfibres, export of textile waste), and is then divided by a durability coefficient specific to the brand.
