The Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, or Regulation (EU) 2025/40: the European text governing all packaging placed on the Union market since 12 August 2026. Its requirements include packaging recyclability, bans on packaging formats, reuse targets and, from 2030, minimum recycled plastic content by packaging category.
