This is a recurring hypothesis in the industry. The Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) provides for a delegated act on textiles expected around 2027. No European method has been chosen yet, but Ecobalyse, which adopts the PEF categories with French adaptations, is often cited as a possible model.
