Only 1 of the studies we read involves primary school pupils: an MRI preprint that observed 15 children aged 6 and 7 for 5 minutes of conversation with ChatGPT and compared them with adults. We found no group without AI in that study. The high school trial involves teenagers: it measured grades in mathematics, without observing the brain. The other studies involve middle school students, high school students, university students or working adults. In France, the Ministry of National Education provides for awareness-raising without hands-on use in primary school and authorises the use of generative AI in class from the 4e class (the third year of collège, the French lower secondary school), under the teacher's supervision. This page reports studies; for a health concern, the right person to consult is a health professional.
