Questions and answers

Is responding to CDP mandatory?

No, it is voluntary, but in practice prompted by an investor’s or major client’s request. A growing number of B2B tenders require a CDP score, making it a de facto commercial obligation in some industries.

How does a CDP score relate to Bilan Carbone®?

CDP’s climate questionnaire requires a full GHG inventory covering scopes 1, 2 and 3, reduction targets and climate governance. A recent Bilan Carbone® and an SBTi pathway provide most of the answers expected when aiming for A or B scores.
