Full definition

Selection is based on the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA): more than 3,600 companies actively respond each year and around 9,000 more are assessed using public data. Questions and answers
Does DJSI still exist?
Yes, under a new name: Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices since February 2025. The process remains identical (best-in-class selection through S&P Global’s CSA questionnaire); only the name changed to comply with European ESG index naming rules.
How does a company enter these indices?
By answering the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (annual questionnaire with around 600 points per sector) and ranking among the best in its sector. A complete GHG inventory, validated targets and documented climate governance carry significant weight in the score.
