Full definition

EU Regulation 2023/1115 on deforestation-free products (EU Deforestation Regulation). Application: 30 December 2025 for large companies, 30 June 2026 for SMEs (timeline postponed by 12 months in December 2024). Obligations: due diligence by batch, geolocation of plots of origin, proof of no deforestation after 31/12/2020. Penalties: up to 4 % of EU turnover + confiscation.
