The obligation in brief

What is a BEGES?

The statutory greenhouse gas emissions report (Article L229-25 of the French Environmental Code) is mandatory for large companies and public bodies. It is published with a transition plan on ADEME's platform.

Our services

From data collection to publication of the BEGES

We support organisations with their statutory greenhouse gas emissions report: scoping, data collection, calculation and preparation for publication. The work draws on your activities and the requirements applicable to your organisation.

  1. 1

    Checking the scope

We examine the organisation's situation, the entities to consider and assessments already completed. This work defines the year studied, the data to gather and the publication timeline.

  2. 2

    Preparing or updating the BEGES

We collect and analyse activity data to establish the emissions to include. Calculations, significant indirect emissions and methodological choices are explained in the file.

  3. 3

    Transition plan

We examine actions already underway and prepare reduction measures with the teams. The plan specifies the resources envisaged and the monitoring information corresponding to the report scope.

  4. 4

    Preparing submission and monitoring

We prepare information for publication and support submission. The materials provided make it possible to trace the data and organise the next assessment.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

The questions we are most often asked before starting a project.

We examine this assessment to identify reusable data and calculations. The work may involve extending the scope, preparing the transition plan or adapting the publication format. The two approaches are not assumed to be identical without this review.
Yes. Data collection and scope are adapted to the institution's activities and organisation. We prepare the work with the contacts who hold the data, considering the sector's particular features.
It may be included in the engagement, with information preparation and submission support. The proposal specifies the documents provided, the approvals expected from your organisation and the procedures covered.
We prepare a proposal after an initial discussion. It sets out the scope, the data to gather, the deliverables and the stages of the engagement. The quotation reflects the work to undertake and how your teams are organised.
