The directive in brief

What is the CSRD?

The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) requires a sustainability report under the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), including the climate section (ESRS E1). Since Omnibus Directive (EU) 2026/470, it covers only companies with more than 1,000 employees and more than €450 million in turnover; their suppliers may respond using the voluntary standard derived from the VSME.

Our work on the climate section

Information on emissions, risks and transition must be consistent and documented. We help your teams prepare the climate section of their reporting and the information their contacts expect.

  1. 1

    Scoping the climate section

We examine reporting needs, work already completed and the information expected. We contribute to the analysis of climate issues and organise the data and responsibilities needed for the E1 section.

  2. 2

    Emissions assessment and documentation

We carry out or complete the emissions calculation within the agreed scope. Sources, assumptions and methodological choices are documented so they can be examined and used in the report.

  3. 3

    Transition plan and monitoring

We work with teams on reduction measures, targets and monitoring arrangements. The information prepared records the decisions made and the work still to undertake.

  4. 4

    Climate data for client requests

We structure information for client questionnaires and, where suited to the need, the climate sections of voluntary reporting. Formats are defined according to the intended uses.

Deliverables

How a project unfolds

  1. Define the climate work

We define your reporting needs and how they relate to work already completed within your organisation.

  2. Examine data and methods

We review the emissions inventory, sources, assumptions and consolidation arrangements.

  3. Work on the climate strategy

We support your teams on reduction actions, targets and the information to document.

  4. Prepare reporting information

We organise data and substantiation to facilitate integration into the report and examination by your contacts.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

The questions we are most often asked before starting a project.

Yes. We define the technical scope and the information to provide with your contacts. Our work on climate data can form part of a wider reporting process led by another provider.
It provides a basis to examine. We check the scope, methods and information available against the data expected. The proposal specifies the additional work and adjustments required.
Yes. We can examine the questionnaire received and prepare the climate information corresponding to the request. The work is tailored to that use, without automatically undertaking a full report.
We prepare a proposal after an initial discussion. It sets out the scope, the data to gather, the deliverables and the stages of the engagement. The quotation reflects the work to undertake and how your teams are organised.
