INIES is the national database centralising environmental declarations for building products and equipment: more than 6,500 datasets, FDES and PEP combined, since July 2025. Led by Alliance HQE-GBC France and technically administered by CSTB, it is free and openly accessible. It is essential for RE2020, because the Ic Construction calculation may only use verified FDES submitted to INIES. When no declaration exists, the calculation switches to default environmental data (DED), increased by at least 30%.
