By carrying out a Bilan Carbone® before the assessment. An updated, published footprint assessment proves climate policy, allows quantified decarbonisation actions in tCO2e avoided to be presented rather than qualitative actions, and provides indicators with histories and targets. The most effective sequence places the footprint assessment in year N and EcoVadis around 6 months later: the same collection work feeds the 2 tools, and reassessment uses quantified indicators. A food-sector SME thus moved from 52 to 71 points after its footprint assessment, without preparing the questionnaire again.
