EcoVadis is a private CSR assessment platform established in 2007, rating more than 130,000 companies worldwide, most often at the request of major customers that use it to manage responsible purchasing. Assessment relies on a questionnaire and supporting documents covering 4 themes: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, sustainable procurement. According to their percentile, companies obtain a bronze (top 35%), silver (top 15%), gold (top 5%) or platinum (top 1%) medal. EcoVadis assesses the maturity of the approach and does not measure emissions.
