Clef Verte, the French version of Green Key managed by Teragir, is France’s most widespread accommodation and catering label: a demanding framework, annual audit, good consumer recognition and more than 3,000 certified establishments in 2026. EU Ecolabel, the Union’s official label, is more technically demanding, with a heavier procedure and stricter criteria, but less widespread; its strength is unmatched institutional recognition. For an organisation starting a structured process, Clef Verte is the reference label.
