A central IPCC concept. As at 1 January 2024, the remaining budget for 1.5°C was ≈ 250 GtCO2 (66% probability). At ~40 GtCO2/year in global emissions, the threshold would be reached in ~6 years. At company level, used to set an aligned SBTi pathway.
