Full definition
The 7 GHGs under the Kyoto Protocol: CO2 (carbon dioxide), CH4 (methane), N2O (nitrous oxide), HFCs, PFCs, SF6 and NF3. Plus the Montreal Protocol GHGs (CFCs, HCFCs, halons) being phased out. Each GHG has a GWP (global warming potential) over 100 years. Do not confuse them with CO2 emissions alone: GHGs comprise 7 Kyoto Protocol gases, CO2, CH4 (methane), N2O (nitrous oxide), HFCs, PFCs, SF6 and NF3, aggregated into CO2e through GWPs.
