In multi-criteria LCA, pocket-sprung mattresses generally have the best environmental profile, thanks to recyclable steel and European manufacture. But the result depends on the exact model, material origins and lifespan. An optimised latex mattress such as Kipli (230 kg CO₂e) can outperform a generic sprung mattress. Only a specific LCA can establish the result for a given product.
