An LCA combines your actual data and sector averages. Actual data cover factory energy consumption, exact material composition, geographical origin of raw materials, transport distances and the electricity mix of supplier sites. Database averages (ADEME’s Base Empreinte, ecoinvent) supplement minor sources such as secondary packaging or the last mile. Primary collection effort must focus on the sources that weigh most, identified by screening. These data remain valid whichever method is targeted: ISO LCA, PEF or CFP.
