It requires every employer to assess heat risk, indoors and outdoors, based on Météo-France's alert thresholds. It requires cool drinking water near workstations, with a minimum of 3 litres per day per worker on construction sites, suitable prevention measures and, under a red alert, daily risk reassessment with suspension of work if those measures are insufficient. It has been in force since 1 July 2025.
