For as long as the product's ecodesign regulation requires it to supply spare parts: 10 years after the last unit is placed on the market for a washing machine or tumble dryer, 7 years for a smartphone or television, 5 years for an electric bicycle battery from 18 February 2027. The Commission gives a range of 5 to 10 years depending on the product and part.
