The basic calculation starts with pharmaceutical purchases and the Base Empreinte monetary factor, recalibrated in March 2025 to 603 kgCO2e per thousand euros, versus 1,600 previously. For product references whose manufacturer has calculated an Ecovamed score, expressed in kgCO2e per pack, UCD or DDJ, this score is multiplied by quantities consumed from the pharmacy's information system. Start with the 18 priority molecules by requesting their scores from suppliers.
