Diag Décarbon'Action is subsidised at 40% by Bpifrance for French SMEs and mid-sized companies with fewer than 500 employees. The service is billed at €10,000 excl. VAT and the 40% subsidy reduces the amount payable by you to €6,000 excl. VAT. See our detailed comparison of the Diag and a standard Bilan Carbone®.
Diag Décarbon'Action is open to companies with fewer than 500 employees (SMEs under the European definition and mid-sized companies), in all sectors, with at least 1 year of activity, no GHG assessment in the last 5 years and no mandatory BEGES reporting requirement. The estimator at the top of this page checks these criteria and displays the verdict on screen.
Diag Décarbon'Action involves 12 days of expert work, spread over no more than 10 months: scoping, data collection and calculation, then presentation and an action plan. Our complete Diag Décarbon guide details each stage.
Diag Décarbon'Action is a Bilan Carbone® subsidised by Bpifrance, with the mandatory ABC method and a compulsory quantified action plan. An unsubsidised Bilan Carbone® offers more methodological freedom but costs €10,000 to €15,000 excl. VAT for an SME.
Alongside Diag Décarbon'Action (a Bilan Carbone® subsidised at 40%), Bpifrance offers several schemes: Diag Éco-conception (product LCA, subsidised at 60 or 70% depending on company size), France 2030 Industrial Decarbonisation Plan (a grant or repayable advance, projects above €3 million).
