Not in itself, but the requirements needing it are multiplying. The Batteries Regulation requires a carbon footprint declaration (based on an LCA). ESPR will require environmental data for the DPP. Textile environmental labelling is based on environmental cost, a state method derived from PEF, hence from LCA. In practice, if your product belongs to one of the six priority ESPR families, LCA will become unavoidable.
