Not necessarily. Natural certification (Cosmos, Ecocert, ISO 16128) describes the origin of ingredients, not their environmental impact. An imported tropical plant oil can have a greater carbon or biodiversity footprint than a European synthetic equivalent. Only an LCA compares ingredients on a quantified basis.
