For textiles, no: labelling remains voluntary, but from 1 October 2026 a third party can calculate and publish a product’s environmental cost without the brand’s consent. For furniture, no text has been published: ADEME expects an initial proposed method by late 2026. For food, a public method for voluntary use has existed since May 2026; for cosmetics and most other sectors, no public method exists. Many private purchasing organisations already require scores without waiting.
