Partly: Directive (EU) 2024/1799 had to be transposed by 31 July 2026, but no French law had been published as at 28 September 2026 and the Commission sent France a letter of formal notice on 25 September. The obligation to repair outside warranty and the 12-month extension of the statutory guarantee therefore await legislation. The spare-parts obligations in ecodesign regulations and the ban on techniques preventing repair (Article L. 441-3 of the Consumer Code) already apply.
