A general term. For a company = carbon inventory. For a product = CFP/carbon LCA. For a country, two approaches: production (territory, what is emitted within its borders) or consumption (what is consumed, including imports). Do not confuse it with Bilan Carbone® (ADEME-ABC method for an organisation) or with the national GHG inventory: a country’s carbon footprint includes net imports (consumption), rather than only production within national borders.
