GHG accounting methodology developed by ADEME since 2004, freely usable and applicable to any organisation. Covers the three GHG Protocol scopes. Current version: ABC v9 (2024). Typical orders of magnitude: 5 to 50 tCO2e per €M of turnover depending on the sector (services at the lower end, heavy industry at the higher end). Project cost: €8,000 to €35,000 excl. VAT, depending on size and complexity. Duration: 3 to 6 months. Scope 3 mandatory since the Decree of 1 July 2022. Do not confuse it with BEGES (regulatory reporting framework on the ADEME platform) or with LCA (a product-focused method covering multiple criteria).
